70. Sigur Ros - Góðan Daginn

From The Album Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust

From the incredibly disappointing followup to Takk comes Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, which is Icelandic for something majestic and doing with faeries. Though not able to live up to my expectations, Sigur Ros manages to get a few clean jabs at the ethereal bliss with some amazing songs. "Góðan Daginn" (Good Day) is a prefect example of the clean and organic Sigur Ros which occupies half of Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust. It is a sound which comes as a breath from the heavy shoegaze elements which dominated the first few records. Below is a fan's interpretation of the song through the eyes of a JVC home recorder. This video is leagues ahead in quality than the other, more romantic, interpretations.
