Algebra Of Need is probably one of those bands you have never heard and will most likely never hear about again. Recently deceased and hailing from west Philadelphia these grimy giants garnered a local following and toured extensively through the east coast and midwest. If you were lucky enough too be in the many darkened house shows, you were treated to a louder than fuck experience of angular noise and rhythmic screaming. Since I knew the members, I feel personally affected by this sudden and tragic split. Though their echo will be felt through the various other west philadelphian house bands, I am saddened by this announcement. I have provided "Everyone Wins Except For The Losers" from their 2007/8 release Self Improvement, which is a spastic anthem of irreverence. With any luck it should serve a fitting tribute to the coolest band from Philadelphia which you had never heard.
