"Whistle"falls somewhere between Paul Simons Graceland and Dj Shadow's Entroducing. A wonderful blend of sampled electronic and world elements. Sporto Kantes began as a French drum and bass group and slowly evolved into a strange set of quilt makers piecing together obscure samples and sounds to make on of the best records of 2008. "Whistle" is not only one of the best of 2008, but it is quite possibly the coolest video of this year. A wonderfully optimistic song detailing the joys of breaking up with a significant other. A strightforward video with some simple yet effective animation.
