Macgyver Movie...

...is finally in the RUMOR stage! Wait. We all know what is going to come from this. Like the new Lethal Weapon reboot, the original star will have either little interest in reprising the role or will not be able to evade a swarm of fire ants like he used to. I think I speak for all people fascinated with early 90's pop culture when I say this movie will only be decent if Richard Dean Anderson was Macgyver, Bruce Mcgill was Jack Dalton and the villain was Murdoc, played by Michael Des Barres. Let us forget about an adrenaline laced reboot. I believe that the writers focused their attention on story rather than feeding steroids into a still respected franchise the newer audience would not care if the majority of the cast is over 50. Sadly everyone know what will come of this rumor. If a movie is made, it will feature Richard dean Anderson and his young sidekick on a zany adventure to save the world. Explosions will be many, Macgyver will spray uzis and I will end up paying 14 dollars to see it alone among a theater of disappointed fans.

Couldn't we just once give the newer generation the benifit of the doubt and make a movie without a hacker plot, fast cars and CGI and trust the story to hold their attention?
